Linnet Hamasi
Linnet Hamasi holds a PhD in Peace and Conflict from Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology (MMUST), Kenya. She received a master’s degree from the Catholic University of Eastern Africa (CUEA), Kenya and a bachelor’s degree from Kenyatta University (KU), Kenya. She currently works as a senior lecturer at the Technical University of Kenya (TUK). She has previously worked at Kenyatta University, Kisii University, and the Catholic University of Eastern Africa. Linnet has published two books and co-edited four books. She received the African Peacebuilding Network (APN) Individual Research Grant in 2019. She serves on the editorial boards of several peer-reviewed journals, including, the Journal of Popular Education in Africa (JOPEA) and the Journal of African Interdisciplinary Studies (JAIS). She is also the Chief Executive Officer of the African Interdisciplinary Studies Association (AISA). Linnet’s areas of scholarly interest include, but are not limited to gender studies, peace and conflict issues, international relations, refugee studies, and research methodology.
