Ropafadzo Hove

Ropafadzo Hove is a Master’s student in history at Kent State University in the United States of America. She holds a Bachelor of Arts honors degree in economic history from the University of Zimbabwe. Her research interests include religion history, culture, gender, social media, and politics in Southern Africa. Her thesis focuses on Christianity, Gender, and Sexualities in Zimbabwe, 1980 – 2022. She looks at how religion in a crisis economy encroaches on daily life practices that shape the imaginations of gender and sexuality. She examines how the ideas of masculinity and femininity have been impacted by the dynamic Christian doctrines in post-colonial Zimbabwe.
