Jacinta Mwende Maweu
Dr. Jacinta Mwende Maweu is a lecturer in philosophy and media studies at the University of Nairobi, Kenya. She holds a PhD in political economy of the mass media from Rhodes University, South Africa, as well as a Master of Arts in communication and a Master of Arts in philosophy from the University of Nairobi, Kenya. Her key research interests include peace journalism, mass media and human rights, media and conflict, and socio-political philosophy. She has researched, presented papers in international conferences, and been published in refereed journals and edited book volumes in her areas of interest. She is a recipient of an APN Individual Research Grant (2015).
