Doreen Nchang

Doreen Nchang received her master’s degree and PhD from the University of the Western Cape, South Africa in Linguistics. She has received academic awards from the Council for the Development of Social Science Research in Africa (CODESRIA), the National Institute for the Humanities and Social Sciences (NIHSS), and the South African Research Chairs Initiative (SARCHI). She is also a recipient of the 2020 African Peacebuilding Network’s (APN’s) Individual Research Fellowship of the Social Science Research Council (SSRC) and the ‘Decolonising Digital’ Fellowship from the Institute for Advanced Study in the Humanities, University of Edinburgh, Scotland, supported by the British Council—the first of its kind to have been awarded to an early career researcher from Africa.
