Ruth Wairimu John
Ruth John is a lecturer in the Department of Geography and Tourism at the Open University of Tanzania. She received her PhD from the University of Dar es Salaam in Tanzania. Her research interests as a human geographer include human-environmental interaction, coexistence with wildlife, natural resource sustainability, natural resource politics, rural community development, food security, livelihood change, and the social impact of protected areas. She is a recipient of a 2023 APN Individual Research Fellowship Award.
