Dr. Titilope F. Ajayi
Titilope F. Ajayi (titilope@titilopeajayi.com) is a pracademic and currently Senior Researcher, Central Africa Observatory Project, Institute for Security Studies-Africa. With a focus on Africa, her research and policy interests and expertise include gender/women and feminism; conflict, peace and security; civil society and social movements, and higher education. Her recent work includes scholarly and policy projects on civil society and security sector governance; women and violent extremism; humanitarianism; African social movements; women’s and feminist approaches to norm change around gender violence, and transnational activism. During her 20+ years of experience in international development, Titilope has led and managed research and programmes in regional and international NGOs, and consulted for INGOs and international organisations. A three-time recipient of the Social Science Research Council’s APN and Next Gen Fellowship awards, she holds a PhD in international affairs from the University of Ghana. She is the author of several articles and the book Globalised Resistance and the Bring Back Our Girls Movement: New Dimensions of Transnational Activism (Routledge, 2025).
