Justin Eduviere Agheyisi is an associate professor in the Department of Geography and Regional Planning, University of Benin, Benin City, Nigeria. He specializes in urban geography with research interests in urban land use, informally built environments, and housing. Dr. Agheyisi is a recipient of the Social Science Research Council (SSRC) 2022 African Peacebuilding Network (APN) Individual Research Fellowship Award. He is a member of the Association of Nigerian Geographers (ANG) and the American Association of Geographers (AAG). He has researched extensively on a wide range of subjects and has been published in reputable national journals and, in Africa, in Land Use Policy, Urban Forum, Geoforum, African Geographical Review, African Studies Quarterly, and the Nextier SPD Policy Brief.
