Cleophas Karooma
Dr. Cleophas Karooma is a senior lecturer and deputy dean in the Faculty of Interdisciplinary Studies, Mbarara University of Science and Technology, Uganda. Her research focuses on forced migration—refugees, displacement, conflict and peace studies, and development studies. She is a beneficiary of an award from the Commonwealth Split-site study at the Refugee Studies Centre, University of Oxford. She has also received the Social Science Research Council Next Generation and the African Peacebuilding Network Individual Research Fellowship award and the Belgian Inter-University Council grants (VLIR-UOS). Dr. Karooma has conducted extensive research on a wide range of subjects. Her research outputs have been published in reputable journals and presented at local and international conferences.
