Dr. Emeka Thaddues Njoku

Dr Emeka Thaddues Njoku, a political scientist trained in Nigeria, is currently an Assistant Professor of Global Security and Society, at the University of Birmingham, United Kingdom. He was awarded the 2014–2015 Dissertation Proposal Development Fellowship and the 2015–2016 Dissertation Research Fellowship under the Next Generation Social Science Research programme of the Social Science Research Council. Emeka is an expert on international security, governance and social justice, particularly the impact of (counter-) terrorism on Society—civil Society, gender and sexual minorities— His research works have appeared in leading academic journals such as International Affairs, International Studies Perspectives, Studies in Conflict and Terrorism, Nonprofit and Voluntary Sector Quarterly, VOLUNTAS: International Journal of Voluntary and Nonprofit Organizations, Development Policy, African Studies Review, Critical Studies on Terrorism, Review, Field Methods and an edited book volume published by Manchester University Press.
