Trésor Makunya Muhindo

Trésor Makunya Muhindo is a publications coordinator at the Centre for Human Rights, Faculty of Law, University of Pretoria, South Africa. and a member of the Social Science Research Council’s African Peacebuilding Network Collaborative Working Group on the ‘African Union and the Resolution of Constitutional Crises in Africa.’ He is an Advocate of the Court of Appeal of North-Kivu, DRC and a Visiting Lecturer at the Notre Dame University of Tanganyika, DRC. He co-edited L’État africain et la crise postcoloniale. Repenser 60 ans d’alternance institutionnelle et idéologique sans alternative socioéconomique (2021). He serves as a member of the Editorial Committee of the African Human Rights Yearbook, African Court Law Report, and the Congolese Yearbook on Constitutional Justice. He previously served as a member of the Expert group drafting the General Comment No. 5 on the African Charter on Human and Peoples’ Rights: The Right to Freedom of Movement and Residence adopted in 2019 by the African Commission on Human and Peoples’ Rights.
