Fonteh Akum is Senior Researcher in the Peace and Security Research Programme at the Institute for Security Studies, Pretoria. He holds a PhD in Politics and International Studies from the University of London’s School of Oriental and African Studies. His research focuses on political sociologies of regime durability in the central Africa region. He was previously Programme Manager at the Council for the Development of Social Sciences in Africa (CODESRIA).
