Dr. Zainab Nuhu is a Senior Lecturer and Post-Doctoral Researcher specializing in Natural Resources Management, Climate Change, and Peace and Conflict Studies. She holds a PhD in Natural Resources Management and Climate Change, and has over a decade of experience in research, monitoring, and evaluation across public and private sectors in Nigeria. Zainab is currently a lecturer in the Department of Environmental Management at Bayero University, Kano (BUK). Dr. Nuhu has collaborated with organizations including the Food and Agricultural Organization (FAO), British Council, and International Livestock and Research Institute (ILRI) on projects addressing natural resource conflicts, intergroup relations, and conflict resolution strategies, her research focuses on the intersections of natural resources, climate change, conflict dynamics, and gender studies. As a researcher, she contributes to co-creating community-driven pathways to peace and strategies for reducing conflict. Dr. Nuhu is also a current recipient of the 2026 APDD Individual Research Fellowship Award.
