Kenneth Chukwuemeka Nwoko

Kenneth Chukwuemeka Nwoko is Professor and currently Head of the Department of History & International Studies, McPherson University, Seriki Sotayo, Abeokuta, Ogun State, Nigeria. His teaching and research interests include African history, International Relations, Strategic Studies, Ethnic and Gender Studies, Peace and Conflict Studies. Prof. Nwoko is a Laureate of CODESRIA’s Afro-Arab Institute, Rabat, Morocco (2012). He is a 2015 recipient of the prestigious Residential Postdoctoral Fellowship of the African Peacebuilding Network (APN) of the Social Science Research Council (SSRC), USA; External Scholar of the Kofi Annan International Peacekeeping Training Centre (KAIPTC), Accra, Ghana; and Visiting Fellow of the World Peace Foundation at the Fletcher School, Tufts University, Boston, Massachusetts, USA. He is a Postdoctoral Fellow of the African Humanities Program (2018) of the American Council of Learned Societies. He is also member of numerous academic and professional bodies including the African Studies Association, (ASA); Igbo Studies Association (ISA) USA; Council for the Development of Social Science Research in Africa (CODESRIA) Senegal and Historical Society of Nigeria (HSN) amongst others. Prof. Nwoko is a member of McPherson University Governing Council, Nigeria.
